Summer is fast approaching and now is the time to start planning our summer’s research trips. Planning ahead will make your trip run more smoothly. Check to see where records are kept and times the place you’re visiting is open. Its never more frustrating than to get there and find out they’re only open on certain days and certain hours. Make sure you check those hidden records such as tax records, probate files, newspapers, etc. Happy hunting this summer!!

A new year is upon us! Just finished taking a course on “DNA DREAMERS: Writing a Proof Argument” through Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy. It helped advance my writing skills! I also published my first book “History of Perth, Kansas” right before Christmas. This book tells about a small town in Kansas that slowing disappearing and how it became an incorporated town. Included in the book is genealogy on some of the families that lived there before and now. Hope you’ll take a look at it on http://www.amazon.com.

The coronvirus finds us all staying home to protect ourselves and others. This is a great time to work on our family history. Many sites have free databases during this trying time to help keep us preoccupied. Have you found your family ancestry yet? I’m glad to help in any way

Welcome to my website! Researching family history has become my passion. I enjoy looking for that elusive family or family member that we know is out there but can’t find. I love to find more about a person than just when they born and when they died. As genealogist call it “putting meat on the bones”.
